Made-to-measure outdoor cushions: how it works, what to send us and what it costs

What we make

• Seat pads and bench cushions up to 120×120 cm, 4 to 10 cm thick, quick-dry foam.
• Back cushions and scatter cushions in any square or rectangular size, hollow fibre.
• Lounger and daybed pads, including hinged (two-part) pads.
• Pallet sofa sets: 120×80 seat and 120×40 back are the usual sizes.
• Boat and caravan cushions to a template.

Not shapes that need a pattern taken on site, and not upholstery of fixed furniture.

What to send us

1. Width, depth and thickness in centimetres. For a bench: length, slat depth, and whether it should overhang.
2. A photo of the furniture, ideally with a tape measure in shot.
3. The Sunbrella colour, from the collection or by name.
4. Ties, flaps or a non-slip base if needed.

How it is made

Cut from the Sunbrella® roll per order, so a set comes from one dye batch. Sewn with UV-stabilised thread. Hidden zip the full length of one side. Quick-dry foam wrapped in a water-permeable inner for seat pads; hollow fibre for anything you lean on. The same construction as our stock cushions, described in about our workshop.

Lead time and price

Two to three weeks from confirmed quote in season; faster in winter. Pricing is by fabric area and filling: a 120×40 bench pad in a plain Sunbrella collection is roughly the price of three stock scatter cushions; a 120×80×8 pallet seat roughly five. Made-to-measure items are excluded from the 30-day return (they do not fit anyone else), but the fabric warranty and our stitching warranty apply in full.
